Bellara is the commercial engine of Bribie Island โ€” the first suburb over the bridge and the place where islanders do their daily business. The Bellara Shopping Centre is the island's main retail precinct. The Bribie Island RSL and several pubs cluster around the foreshore. Medical centres, pharmacies, and services are concentrated here.

The Sylvan Beach Esplanade is Bellara's standout amenity โ€” a boardwalk and park stretching along the Pumicestone Passage with playgrounds, picnic areas, and uninterrupted views across to the Glasshouse Mountains. The Bellara Park foreshore provides walking paths, a boat ramp, and water access. The suburb developed mostly from the 1970s as Bribie's residential population grew beyond the original Bongaree settlement. The median sits around $700K โ€” one of the more affordable island entry points.

Who Should Buy Here?

Bellara is for buyers who appreciate what this suburb offers โ€” and aren't looking for what it doesn't have. It's not for everyone. But for the right buyer, it's exactly right.
